Working with special needs children requires special teachers that are long on patience and special training and experiences. Works with other agencies like Golden Gate Regional Center to work on things like shadowing a child at the child care center to help him or her acquire skills/strategies to interact with desired successful behaviors, etc. They also are available to help with a variety of learning disorders and emotional dysfunctions. The Child Care Connector will help you find referrals, resources, and background checks by zip code.
